Dear Friends,
Camps started on June 20, and currently we are in our second week of camps. Our girls are campers this week, and Chris and I (and the boys) are teaching English. We usually have American groups come to teach English, but this (and last year) due to COVID we had to ask our American staff and BI students to help us teach the campers. I am Chris’ translator, and we teach a beginner class this week. It is a lot of work to prepare for these classes (we have 10 classes in a week), but it’s amazing to get to know these campers.
We have over 920 campers registered for the summer, please pray it all goes well, everyone arrives safely, and more importantly please pray for their salvation. Our goal is to help each camper take their next step with Jesus. Whether it is their first step, or simply deepening their relationship with Christ, we want to make sure we help them in their walk with God.
Please pray for those campers who understand that they are sinners, in need of a Savior and understand that Jesus, the Son of God, died for their sins and rose from the dead and offers eternal life with Him as a free gift, all they need to do is believe in Him. Not all of these campers go back to Christian homes and it’s extremely difficult to get strong in your faith when there are no other Christians around you. Please pray that they may find someone in their school, hometown, or among their friends who is a Christian and who can disciple them. May they be lights in their families and may many come to know Christ through them!
Our staff is getting tired already, prayers for strength is appreciated as we have 5 more weeks of camps ahead of us.
We are grateful to be able to serve here, thankful for the camp team and leadership, and truly appreciate your prayers and support.
