Dear Friends,
Another year is soon to end. As we look back at this year, we can’t help but give thanks for all the blessings we received. We had a busy year: raising support, packing and giving away all we own, moving a family overseas while pregnant, moving in a house, learning new ministry responsibilities, starting school (Amy and Haley), buying a house and a car, and just recently, having a baby. 🙂
It is a privilege to serve God at Word of Life Hungary. We are immensely thankful for our leadership team, who lead the ministry to honor God. The staff we have here is truly like a family. We care about each other, we pray for one another, and we disagree at times and yet are able to get along. 🙂 We’ve been blessed by so many of them in so many ways already. May we also be a blessing to them.
As Christmas is approaching, we want to make sure we have the right heart. Christmas is not about us, it’s about remembering our Savior’s birth. Presents, decorations, Christmas trees, fancy meals, shopping are all fine as long as they don’t take your focus off of Christ. Don’t let all the business of this season frustrate you; turn your attention to Him and give thanks to Him for coming as a baby, to save us from the punishment of our sins.
Make this Christmas about whom it should be about instead of “man-things.” You won’t regret.
What a wonderful Savior we have! Have a blessed Christmas!
