Dear Friends,
As we are looking forward to Thanksgiving, so many things comes to our minds to be thankful for.
We are thankful for our family. We are so glad to have Amy, Haley, Joshua, and Jonathan. They are all so much fun. They goof around a lot, they have such great imagination, they are funny and fun. We love seeing their different personalities grow, and are so grateful we get to be their parents.
We are thankful for our friends. We have old friends and new friends for whom we are very grateful.
There are 4 girls from my high school with whom I still regularly keep in touch. We are all married, and have 16 kids between the 5 of us by now, but 20 years ago we were just a group of 5 girls. When we all meet now, it’s 26 of us (with the husbands and kids). It’s wonderful to see how God has blessed us these two decades.
We also have sweet, dear friends from the BI, with whom we still keep in touch. Unfortunately we don’t see each other in person as much, but we update each other and we pray for each other. They have a special place in our hearts.
We are thankful for our friends in the States. We miss them so much! We’ve only lived there for 6 years, but we made very good friendships there. We are always so grateful to hear from them and learn how they are doing.
And we have new friends we’ve met since we are back in Hungary. We love getting to know the students each year, getting to know the staff better and better, and we especially enjoy our fellowships.
We have so many people to be thankful for!
We are also thankful for our extended family in the States and here, in Hungary. They are always so loving and caring, we feel loved by all of them. We are very blessed to have our families.
And of course we are most thankful to God for who He is. Because of His never changing character, we never have to fear. Because we know He loves us, we can always feel secure, despite our circumstances. Because we know He is perfectly good, we can always have peace despite anything that is happening around us. It’s incredible to be able to live for such a wonderful God. He has blessed us with an amazing family, friends, and we know we can trust in Him.
We hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving and are able to count your blessings, regardless of your circumstances.
