Hi there,
We are at Word of Life Hungary! We arrived last Tuesday, our flights were on time, everything went really well. We had an amazing trip, thank you for praying! The kids slept less than 2 and a half hours in 31 hours, and as you may imagine, we slept even less, but to our surprise we were able to sleep through our first night and we’ve had no problem with the time difference ever since! We sleep when it is nighttime here, and we are awake when it’s daytime. Normally it takes a couple of weeks to get used to the 6-hour time difference, but not this time! Thank you for your prayers! They mean so much to us!
Amy and Haley have already made very many friends, they love to play with their new friends and get to know them better. What a blessing to have so many children befriend them! We are thrilled at how well they are doing. As a matter of fact, they are with my parents right now at Lake Balaton, enjoying 5 days with them. Haley never spent a night without us, so we will see how well she does. Amy said she will have so much fun she will forget how much she misses us. 🙂
We ordered our internet when we arrived, but we are still waiting on the people to come and install it. It may take a week or two before we have internet at home. It makes it tricky to check our e-mails and go online, but we try to do so at least once every two days. The closest place we can have internet is on campus, and it’s a mile walk. So far Amy walks back and forth about 2 times a day (so 4 miles daily). Haley enjoys the stroller, but she walked to campus a couple of times, too, since we have arrived.
News you may have missed:
Ava Kate, our newest niece was born last month! She is absolutely gorgeous and both her and her mom are doing well! We had the chance to see her a couple of times before we left. She is a sweet baby girl.
Amy got baptized last month! She really wanted to be baptized and we saw no reason not to let her once we made sure she totally understands the reason of baptism. We are so glad she could be baptized at the church she belonged to when she got saved.
Have a blessed weekend!
