Dear Friends,
As of March 8, we started digital learning again in public elementary schools. This time around Amy and Haley’s school uses Teams, and it works very well. Amy is a pro by now 🙂 and she does most everything on her own. Haley still needs a lot of help, which is to be expected at her age. 🙂 It’s less fun for a 6-year-old to do school online, but she is very patient and does all her school work very well. We are very proud of them both.
The boys are super happy the girls are at home, but Joshua often doesn’t understand why the girls can’t just play with him all day since they are home anyways. Why school is a priority over him beats him, but he is also very good at being quiet while the girls have their online classes. Since the only reliable internet is in our living room, both girls have to be there, but that’s also where our kids usually play and where their toys are, so the boys are also there. It can get a little hectic at times, but so far so good. 🙂
This is Haley’s first time doing school online, and the days are long. It is definitely more tiring to do school online with a first grader than it was last year with only Amy. I am so grateful for Haley’s attitude and how she gets the school work done, even if it’s a lot.
I feel that we are still pretty tired/exhausted and the third wave is hitting the country hard. But I am so thankful my kids can be home and we can all be together. We had a long weekend just now, and it was wonderful to be able to play games together, spend time outside in our yard, and watch a baking show with the kids. I treasure the time we have together and while it’s not the easiest right now, it is so lovely.
We are grateful to God for all His blessings and provision in so many ways we can’t count. He has been our Rock through this all, and I don’t know what we would do without Him. He gives us joy, He gives us purpose, He gives us strength each day.
We hope you are all well and healthy. If you have a few minutes, we would like to hear an update from you! 🙂
