Exceptional People and a Great Responsibility

The new school year is almost here, and young parents everywhere are sending their first graders to school for the first time, older kids are anxious about fitting in at a new High School, and many college students are calculating credits to get a degree for a good career and paycheck.

This is a normal part of life. Almost everyone “goes to school,” and most schools have “normal” students. However, at the WOL Hungary Bible Institute, we experience something special. Our students all have something very exceptional in common: Their love for God and their desire to know and serve Him is such a priority, that they are willing to sacrifice many things to study His Word.

Our international students leave their friends, family, language, and culture behind to be in a foreign country. Our Hungarian students also put their Hungarian-accredited studies on hold and delay the ability to find a job. All this to better understand the Bible, and to get a solid spiritual foundation for the rest of their lives.

What a great responsibility God has given us to disciple and care for these young people who have chosen to study here!

WOLH BI Opening Weekend 2017

Praise and Thanksgivings

  • This year we are expecting about 70 students representing around 15 different countries – including some new ones that we have never had students from before.
  • We are thankful that God has lead these young people to study and serve here.
  • We are building some new relationships with schools and other ministries to help provide our students with practical opportunities to serve and grow.
  • We are thankful that God has led people to give financially, that we may provide scholarships to many students.

Prayer Requests

  • Pray with us for our students, that they may grow and be changed by the truths they find in God’s Word, and that this change might bear eternal fruit for the rest of their lives.
  • Pray for our current Bible Institute staff, that we might truly value and invest in each student, never losing sight of how great this privilege and responsibility is.
  • Pray for our future Bible Institute staff, that God might lead faithful people to join our team, so we might better serve and disciple these young people God has brought into our lives.
