The Bible Institute year is in full swing, and students have begun their regular ministries, such as teaching Sunday School, music ministries, evangelism, and more.
In October we had one week without classes, instead our students and staff split into 8 groups for several days, serving with different churches around Hungary, helping them with evangelistic events and in other practical ways.
Chris was part of the team who helped at the local (Tóalmás Baptist) church. The students in this team were mostly from our family group and the church they went to serve was our church, so it worked out really well. 🙂 We went to a rehab home and shared songs, testimonies, and an evangelistic message. It was a really great opportunity to share the love of Jesus with those who are often forgotten.
We also went to the church’s youth groups (Amy and Haley are part of these, so you can imagine their excitement to see our family group students at their youth group!) , the local elementary school, and the students taught Sunday school in our church.
It was a great opportunity for them to put their faith into action and share the Gospel with others while getting a glimpse of what churches are like in Hungary.
It was a great week of outreach and service. We’re so thankful for the opportunities we had to serve others and share the Gospel.
