Our Hearts Are Full

Dear Friends,

2022 is ending, and we have much to be thankful for!

Our sweet bundle of joy, Benjamin, was kind enough to wait until after graduation to be born. I was sure I won’t make it until the end of the school year, but God had other plans. πŸ™‚ This way I could properly finish up my responsibilities as Academic Assistant and didn’t have to abandon my dear boss at graduation.

We were able to spend the summer together, and the kids loved being with Benj. Chris’ mom, Karen, was also able to spend a month with us and finally see JJ in person for the first time.

In September the boys went to preschool (all but Benjamin), and the girls went back to school. It was weird to have the house for myself and only have to take care of one baby in the mornings, but I soon realized that there’s enough things to do, that it won’t be boring. πŸ™‚ I had these great plans of what I will accomplish in the morning hours, but in reality almost none of them got done. πŸ™‚ That’s okay, I adjusted my expectations of how much I can do, and now we have a good system.

Chris had a lot of vacation days left this year, so he was able to get half of December off. It’s a wonderful feeling to have everyone home. We bought some new card and boardgames, and been busy playing with them.

We had a Christmas concert at our church and the girls and Chris were part of it. We are so blessed to be able to celebrate Christ’s birth in such a meaningful way. We are thankful to God for allowing us to know Him! Because Jesus was born, because He lived a sinless life, because He died on the cross for my sins, because He rose from the dead, I have the opportunity to trust in Him and therefore have eternal life in Him. Not because of anything I did, but because of who He is and what He has done. It’s such a powerful message.

We wish you a Blessed Christmas and New Year!
