Hi there,
It’s hard to believe it’s fall already! While the freezing mornings are not my favorite, I love how warm it is in the afternoons still, and how beautiful the trees are.
Amy’s teacher gives the class a family project every month and this time we had to decorate a pumpkin to resemble Amy’s favorite book character, Skippyjon Jones. Chris and Amy had a lot of fun decorating the pumpkin and I must say, they did a good job! It was fun watching them turn a pumpkin into Skippyjon Jones. 🙂
The kids also had the opportunity to carve a couple of pumpkins at Grandma’s house.
Haley is a mischievous little munchkin. She is extremely cute, and very strong-willed. She likes to build, read books, color, draw, and snuggle with me. 🙂 She is currently learning her colors, letters, and numbers. She gets brown, black, and white always right, but she still mixes her other colors. One of the first letters she learned was “W” and she says it in such an adorable way. 🙂 She often corrects me when I tell her which letter is which. She is convinced she knows better. 🙂 She is learning how to count to ten, and while she is doing a great job, there are a lot of “two”s in the first ten numbers. 🙂 She loves to tell people she is 2, and shows it with her fingers, too.
Chris finished his session at Clark Summit University last week and will start a new one next week. He has an old friend from Word of Life Hungary in one of his new classes. He actually had quite a few people we know from Word of Life in some of his previous classes. Small world! 🙂
We are enjoying the weather while we can, and try to spend as much time in the park as we can. We even go out and jump in the puddles when it rains really hard. Haley loves it, and asks us to go jump in puddles every day. Unfortunately (or fortunately), we don’t have puddles every day, but there’s always the park. 🙂
Have a blessed weekend!
