Dear Friends,
Another summer has ended and another school year is about to start.
The girls were able to spend a week with my parents at Lake Balaton, and they both really enjoyed it. One of my cousins from Canada, Claudia, also spent a few days there with them, and we had the privilege of having her at our house for a few days as well. She was our first overnight guest in our guest room. 🙂
Amy is ready for 2nd grade, looking forward to seeing her teacher and classmates. I really hope she will have a wonderful second year at school. It’s hard to believe that my little baby is so grown up. She is a good big sister, and a huge help.
For the past 3 weeks we’ve been going in around 8 with Chris and left campus around 6. Amy goes and bikes most of the day (on campus) and plays with other kids. I only see her at lunch and then when we are leaving. 🙂 Haley on the other hand wouldn’t leave my sight. She is in a phase where she needs mommy to breathe. 🙂
Throughout the summer I had tons of help with the kids, for which I am very thankful. While I greatly enjoy being a unit leader, it’s not easy with small children, so I am especially thankful for the thoughtful friends now.
Joshua is not an easy baby, but when he is happy, his smile is contagious. 🙂 He giggles and laughs at her sisters often, and in general likes to be with people. He has two teeth on the bottom, and boy he can bite. 🙂
We haven’t started feeding him solids yet, but I can tell he is ready. He constantly wants to take the food out of my hands.
We are very excited for this new school year!
